The Burdens of Being a Pianist

The implements of destruction!

It's enough to break your heart! :(

My uncle wants me to play a couple of pieces with cuz Elizabeth for the special numbers in the middle of our bell choir concert. And right after I had finally grown them out nicely after my Thanksgiving concert!

Awww... poor piano player. I'm finding the same thing with strings. They were beautiful, darling. Fear not, they'll grow again. Welcome back :)

This post made me laugh because as I go back and look at my piano assignment notebooks from all the years I took lessons, written on many pages are the words, "trim your nails" or "cut nails this week". I was terrible about that and I don't know how many weeks I make Mrs. Matter sit through, "click, click, click"!
All my best at the concert and I hope it is worth the sacrifice.

The picture of my fingers with no nails reminds me of my brothers fingers!

I have to fess up though. I have yet to cut my thumb nails. :D

You don't need them for the violin and you use the side of your thumb for the piano - so why not?!!!

Oh dear. I don't mean to gloat but...well maybe I should post a picture of my nails too. Then I wouldn't have to gloat verbally...

They still do look nice and no worries they will grow back.

If I can let them grow back. I'm not sure when this piano and violin thing will be through!!
